The production status of Daredevil: Born Again, which will debut on Disney+ in 2024, was disclosed by Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio.
As the longest MCU Disney+ series to date with 18 episodes, Daredevil: Born Again, the production schedule of the show has drawn particular attention.
Fans have been wondering when exactly the cameras will start rolling, and now Kingpin’s own Vincent D’Onofrio has answered their questions. Shooting is slated to start in February.
Daredevil Reboot Update from Kingpin Star
Daredevil: Born Again is “in deep glorious prep,” according to Vincent D’Onofrio, and “not quite shooting yet.”
“We arr definitely in deep glorious prep. Yet not quite shooting yet.”
The Hawkeye actor has frequently provided updates to viewers about his persona and what Born Again will entail.
D’Onofrio teased the new series during the Salt Lake FanX 2022, saying, “You guys have no idea what you’re in store for:”
“I will say, though… See, you guys have no idea what you’re in store for with [Daredevil:] Born Again. I know a little bit more than you guys. And all I can say is, during that next series, you’re not going to be thinking about anything but the next episode. I promise.”
He also stated, while being careful not to give away too much, that he and Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, will have “the chance to dig deeper than ever before with our character.”
“I can only say… I’m trying to have to stick to the rules, so I will only say that Charlie and I are going to be given the chance to dig deeper than ever before with our characters.”
Production on Daredevil: Born Again has begun.
Given the excitement surrounding this Netflix relaunch and the appeal of both Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, Daredevil: Born Again’s production timeline is going to be closely watched.
Fans will be interested to see what on-set images can disclose because production takes place in New York City and lasts for a large portion of 2023.
And considering D’Onofrio’s propensity for keeping fans informed, he’s probably going to keep sharing anything he can in interviews or online. On exactly when his character will return to the MCU, though, the jury is still out.
He will next be seen in the Disney+ film Echo, which evidence suggests has been postponed, after his involvement in Hawkeye.
If Echo’s premiere date has been moved to 2024, the actor will probably star in two Disney+ programmes that air simultaneously.
If so, Kingpin will control a significant portion of the Marvel dialogue in 2024 in addition to the criminal underworld of New York City.
In the spring of 2024, Daredevil: Born Again will air on Disney+.
