Set photographs from July 2022 showed that Season 2 would feature posters for the fictional film Zaniac.

Zaniac, a parasitic being from the Dark Dimension, is a Thor antagonist in Marvel Comics.

The best look at Zaniac’s Billboard is seen in the Loki Season 2 Trailer.

A new Loki Season 2 trailer featuring brand-new shots of Sylvie, the eponymous God of Mischief, and Zaniac’s billboard was officially released by Marvel Studios.

The trailer’s 0:16 second mark featured the villain’s movie billboard in its best-ever lighting:

The brief glance revealed hints of the character’s MCU series design.

A portion of the billboard was previously visible in the first trailer for Loki Season 2:

In May 1982, Zaniac, a character from Marvel Comics, made his debut in Thor 319 as an entity that controls a person to serve as Dormammu’s agent.

The parasite organism eventually took control of an actor by the name of Brad Wolf while filming the movie “Zaniac!” after hopping from host to host.

In the film, a serial killer chooses to target women as a form of retaliation against his mother, who molested him as a youngster.

Brad became Zaniac when he was caught in a nuclear explosion from the Manhattan Project while he was infected with the entity during filming. Thor eventually put an end to the bad guy after he attacked several women.

The actor Brad Wolfe, played by Rafael Casa, who was controlled by the supernatural being from the comics, was also given a new look in the video.

Loki Season 2

Additional scenes from the Season 2 trailer showed Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Owen Wilson’s Mobius squaring off against Rafael Casa’s Brad Wolfe in an alleyway before the latter used magic to defeat the bad guy.

Although it is unknown if Wolfe will change into Zaniac in Loki Season 2, the TVA’s pursuit of him shows that they are aware of the harm he poses to the timeline.

This could be Loki and Mobius’ first mission back as TVA operatives, and it might be the reason why the latter decides to put his trust in the former as he pursues He Who Remains and his Variants.

It’s also possible that Victor Timely is using Zaniac as a tool to further his own agenda, using the figure to deflect attention from the real villain’s sinister objectives.

On October 6, Disney+ will start airing Loki Season 2.
