Nine years after The Flash debuted in 2014, the DC Comics series is scheduled to finish with its final season, which will feature the appearance of John Diggle, Kid Flash, and Arrow himself.
It’s obvious that Grant Gustin will have his hands full in this final season if you’ve been following the news about his final outing as the Scarlet Speedster. His full rough gallery is back in the trailer for the new set of episodes, with a strong emphasis on both Reverse Flash and Godspeed.
It was stated that Barry Allen would face Red Death, a brand-new speedster. Barry might not be aware of it yet, but this new bad guy is the evil counterpart of Javicia Leslie’s Batwoman.
The audience may now get their first look at some returning familiar faces in new set images for one of the final films.
John Diggle in The Flash: A New Look
The actor who portrays John Diggle, also known as Spartan, on The Flash’s last season, David Ramsey, posted a sneak peek at an unique superhero crossover on Instagram.
“None of this is possible without you:” Ramsey wrote in the description of his Instagram image.
Congratulations to Team Flash for nine incredible seasons. But most importantly.. thank ALL OF YOU for your undying support for this universe. None of this is possible without you! Enjoy the mashup you had no idea you needed! #TheFlashFinalSeason #ArrowLives!
Grant Gustin, who plays the eponymous character in his flashy red costume, Stephen Amell, and Keiynan Lonsdale, who plays Kid Flash, are all seen with Ramsey, from left to right.
Additional set shots show the iconic Arrowverse characters squaring off against what appears to be an unidentified enemy.
Other well-known Arrowverse characters, like as Goldface (Damion Poitier), Harley Rathaway (Andy Mientus), The Hotness (Max Adler), Nia Nal (Nicole Maines), and Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy), will make a comeback in the series’ final season.
The Big Farewell, The Flash
John Diggle had a significant character development in his final episode of The Flash, one with particulars that rankled several viewers.
Many people once thought Diggle was destined to become a Green Lantern for a very long time. Even Arrow’s conclusion overtly hinted to that conclusion.
But in Diggle’s brief appearance on The Flash in Season 8, he tossed the ring away, turning down the chance to save the universe. Will The Flash’s concluding chapter reverse that dubious narrative decision?
Ramsey has stated in the past that “[he] wants to be Green Lantern with a really good budget,” proving that the ambition to realise the fan idea still exists.
It’s still uncertain whether Diggle will really feature in his successful Arrowverse spinoff series Justice U given the changing dynamics at DC Studios.
One of the final occasions Barry saw Wally West, they were discussing the demise of the Speed Force. What are they doing here, then? What’s more, is he the Wally West that viewers are familiar with, or is this someone else from a different historical period?
On February 8, 2023, The Flash’s 13-episode final season premieres.
