Massive Marvel Superhero Role Being Considered for Margot Robbie

A recent rumour claims that Marvel Studios wants Margot Robbie to take on the role of a significant MCU superhero.

Margot Robbie and Sue Storm

Robbie’s appeal to Marvel is understandable, but the actress is already well-known in the DC universe thanks to her legendary Harley Quinn roles in the 2016 David Ayer film Suicide Squad, the 2020 film Birds of Prey, and the 2021 James Gunn film The Suicide Squad.

But according to reports, the Barbie star now has the opportunity to switch brands and appear in one of Marvel Studios’ most eagerly awaited upcoming movies.

Sue Storm from the Fantastic Four might be played by Margot Robbie

Scooper Daniel Richtman claims that Marvel Studios just offered Oscar-nominated actress Margot Robbie the part of Sue Storm/Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If accurate, this merely indicates that Robbie has been given the role, which she could decline, rather than that she has been cast in the 2025 version.

Mila Kunis, Jodie Comer, and Allison Williams were allegedly among the other actresses under consideration for Sue Storm.

Additionally, Adam Driver is rumoured to be in negotiations to play Reed Richards or Mr. Fantastic, and Daniel Richtman previously claimed that Paul Mescal had been offered the part of Johnny Storm, a.k.a. the Human Torch, by Marvel.

Is Margot Robbie Sue Storm and Harley Quinn?

Up until this point, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn future in comic book movies has been a major concern, particularly in light of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU relaunch.

Despite Gunn’s assurance that he would “for sure” collaborate with her once more, the Fantastic Four rumour only served to heighten the intrigue surrounding that position.

While many Hollywood celebrities have appeared in both Marvel and DC films over the years, Robbie playing two significant leading roles would be a first.

It might also explain why Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, reportedly participated in the casting process for the movie.

Robbie would undoubtedly be a great addition to the MCU.

She’s becoming more famous, and James Gunn once called Robbie “the best actor [he’d] ever worked with, bar none.” Additionally, few Marvel fans wouldn’t be thrilled if she ended up co-starring with Adam Driver.

An official announcement might be forthcoming given the recent spike of sensational Fantastic Four casting reports. To disclose the entire ensemble, Marvel Studios may hold off until the San Diego Comic-Con in July.

If this is the case and Margot Robbie accepts the Marvel offer, Greta Gerwig’s portrayal of Barbie won’t be the only reason she commands the attention of the media this summer.

Cinemas will screen Fantastic Four on February 14, 2025.
