Marvel Studios Just Verified the MCU Canon Event

The first event in the MCU Canon to be officially documented has been confirmed by Marvel Studios, and it has connections to a recent film.

The main advantage of developing a cinematic universe such as Marvel’s is that it gradually transforms into an exquisite tapestry composed of several storylines. A costly continuity is created when these stories are presented.

The first event in the MCU chronology was, at one point, the 1943 transformation of Chris Evans‘ Steve Rogers into Captain America when he used the Super Soldier Serum. Currently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe starts a millennium ago.

What is regarded as the first canon event in the canon of Marvel Studios was made public with the publication of Marvel Studios’ The Marvel Cinematic Universe – An Official Timeline.

The title of the piece is “The Handiwork of Celestials.” According to this page, the Celestials are “one of the oldest and most powerful forms of life to ever exist.” and they are the ones that molded the early cosmos.

One of its responsibilities was “to manipulate matter and energy to help construct suns.”

Celestials produce Deviants as a way to squelch any wild predators who could endanger their population expansion. When things don’t go as planned, the new race eventually turns against the Celestials.

The Everlasting Cure

The Celestials develop advanced guardians known as Eternals by using the World Force. They will make it their mission to protect creation from the Deviants.

Sculpting Wundagore Mount

Within a temple built atop Mount Wundagore, the demon Cthon engraved his collection of prohibited incantations. The building is meant to serve as the Scarlet Witch‘s throne. It is believed that she would eventually destroy reality or bend it to her whim.

The Meteorite of Vibranium

Meteorites, a significant kind of metal, strike Earth in the form of vibranium. Most of it ends up on the continent that would one day be called Africa, but “at some point, vibranium also makes its way into the Atlantic Ocean.”

Ego Plants His Seeds

As stated in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the Celestial is “underwhelmed by what he finds,” which prompts him to start “the Expansion,” or his wicked scheme of gaining dominance over the whole universe.

The arrival of the Eternals—5000 BCE

To save humanity from the Deviants, a squad of recently mind-wiped Eternals is dispatched to Earth. Apart from the immediate threat the Deviants offer, they are not allowed to meddle with the local populace.

This is among the first significant events to take place on the planet, second only to the actual birth of the planet and the vibranium meteorite’s crash landing.

Among the first MCU characters to set foot on Earth were figures like Sersi and Ikaris.

Examining the Initial MCU Chronology

Over time, the MCU chronology has undoubtedly evolved into a ludicrous creature of continuity.

Fans owe Eternals a great deal of gratitude for providing some of the most fascinating backstories from the Marvel Cinematic Universe—those early, pre-event periods. Would Marvel Studios ever think about going back and investigating that era?

It’s possible that fans would be curious to learn more about what could have been happening in space prior to the heroes’ initial deployment to Earth.

It seems likely that should an Eternals 2 come to pass, it will examine what is going on with the group right now. After all, the majority of them had recently been abducted by Arishem when viewers last saw them.

One long-lasting hero is Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor, but the MCU hasn’t done a great job of delving into the character’s early history. Maybe a potential Thor 5 may help to fill up some of those gaps.
