Creator of Deadpool Teases Deadpool 3 Cast
Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld teased the many X-Men cameos that might materialize in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3 Cast during an interview with the Nuke the Fridge YouTube channel.
Liefeld said that the knowledge he knows “will melt your face,” using that phrase twice as he hinted at what’s coming up, though he wouldn’t give any details:
“The stuff I know, it will melt your face, alright? That’s all I’m going to say, it’ll melt your face!”
Liefeld was also asked if the rumors of classic X-Men characters appearing in the film ever come close to being true.
He thought back to a discussion he had with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, who asked for the comic book author’s “input on some decisions” while Marvel thought about its options for Deadpool 3:
“I see what you’re doing. Look, here’s the deal, guys. You know what, I was very honored. Mr. Feige reached out to me late last summer and wanted my input on some decisions. Then we had a follow-up meeting with the producers. I was just honored that they wanted to have my input and they would say, ‘We’re considering a lot of different roads, a lot of different paths.’
While he was aware of some of the plot points of Deadpool 3, such as Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s reunion, he also hinted that the cast list will astound viewers when it was finally made public:
“Some stuff I was aware of, I had to be quiet before it was announced. I knew Hugh and Ryan were getting back together for ‘Wolverine 3.’ I’ve been very fortunate people put stuff in front of me. And trust me, all I’m saying is, I saw that cast list. I think people are just going to freakin’ get blown away, and I’m not saying shit more than what I just said.”
Who Will Appear in Deadpool 3’s X-Men?
Fans are already envisioning some of the well-known actors from the early X-Men films that might return in Deadpool 3 in addition to rumors hinting at the X-Force team from Deadpool 2.
Halle Berry, who played the weather-based mutant in the movie Storm, was recently spotted with hair that strangely resembled the one she wore for Marvel and 20th Century Fox. This suggests that Berry might be gearing up for a return to the role.
