The release date for Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki Season 2 has been moved up.
The second season of Disney+’s Loki, which will feature Owen Wilson‘s Mobius and continue the story of Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief, is the focus of everyone’s attention right now.
Recently, marketing for the impending streaming project has intensified. Jonathan Majors‘ portrayal as Victor Timely was featured in a brand-new trailer, and the first 10 minutes of the pilot episode were even screened to a VIP audience.
However, due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) strikes, none of the show’s actors, including Hiddleston, Wilson, or Sophia Di Martino, will attend the press conference for Loki Season 2.
New Release Date for Loki Season 2
Season 2 of Loki will now be released on Thursday, October 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET (6:00 p.m. PT), according to a tweet from Marvel Studios on X (previously Twitter).
The previous air date for the program was Friday, October 6.
The series’ new release hour on Thursday also represents a significant departure from the prior MCU Disney+ episodes’ common 3 a.m. ET release time.
The publication of all following episodes of the show will take place every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET, according to the official press release for Loki Season 2.
If Marvel Studios and Disney+ only release one episode for Season 2’s debut, Episode 2 would follow on October 12, Episode 3 would follow on October 19, Episode 4 would follow on October 26, Episode 5 would follow on November 2, and Episode 6 would follow on November 9.
A Close Encounter Between Loki And The Marvels
The season finale of Loki will air on Disney+ just one day before Marvel`s official theatrical release date if Marvel Studios just publishes one episode for Loki’s Season 2 premiere on Thursday, October 6.
However, as with all other films, The Marvels will be showing in the majority of theatres on Thursday night at the same time the Loki finale will be available on streaming services.
Given how significant Loki and The Marvels are, it seems somewhat strange that Marvel Studios would choose to cancel two projects on the same day and around the same time.
The finale of Loki Season 2 would be released on Thursday, November 2, one full week before The Marvels reaches theatres, so it would be simple for Marvel Studios to have a two-episode debut.
The most recent example of this on Disney+ is Ahsoka from the Star Wars saga.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed, Loki will likely have a two-episode premiere if Marvel Studios doesn’t want it and The Marvels to conflict.
Loki’s second season will now make its Disney+ debut on Thursday, October 5 at 9 p.m. ET.

It’s plausible to see the two brothers reunite in some capacity, whether in Loki or another Thor movie (or perhaps a Loki movie), given that Loki has returned with his show, and season two is on the horizon.
