Kang the Conqueror Is Supposed to Appear in Moon Knight Season 2

According to a recent report, Moon Knight Season 2 will feature Jonathan MajorsKang the Conqueror.

Moon Knight season 2 Kang

A second season for Oscar Isaac’s Disney+ sitcom remains unconfirmed, but many feel it’s on its way, especially given how its initial run concluded. So how could Marc Spector come into contact with such a formidable villain?

In Marvel Studios‘ most recent film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, audiences were first exposed to Kang‘s darker side.

Rama-Tut is one of the important trio that appears among the numerous Variants of Majors’ main antagonist at the end of the movie in the first post-credits sequence. In the comic books, this Kang character went back in time to rule over the people of Ancient Egypt.

It’s almost surprising that fans haven’t heard more stories and conjecture regarding the Variant’s connections to Moon Knight or perhaps Khonshu himself given his Egyptian connection.

Kang to appear in Season 2 of Moon Knight?

Ayla Ruby mentioned on the Cosmic Circle podcast that her coworker Alex Perez, a business insider, had heard some intriguing rumours that Kang might play some sort of role in Moon Knight Season 2.

It’s crucial to remember that Marvel Studios has not officially announced a second season of Moon Knight, so all of this information should only be taken as a rumour.

Kang was briefly mentioned in the first season of Moon Knight, according to showrunner Jeremy Slater in a recent interview with The Direct.

While Steven, played by Oscar Isaac, is “rattling off some Egyptian history… he did mention Rama-Tut,” at one point:

“There was a line in the script, and I don’t know if it survived. I can’t remember. But there was a line where, I think Steven, is sort of rattling off some Egyptian history that he has locked away in his brain, and he did mention Rama-Tut. I don’t remember if that scene, if that line is still in the show or not. But it was that small, it was him mentioning a list of famous pharaohs or something like that. But that was Nick Pepin, one of our executives at Marvel, that was his idea to sort of slip that in there as a fun Easter egg.”

As stated earlier, Rama-Tut is a reincarnation of Kang who went back in time and ruled as a strong pharaoh.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty writer Jeff Loveness said to Polygon during the promotion of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania that he didn’t have much faith in someone like Moon Knight to directly combat Jonathan Majors’ major antagonist:

“I wish Hawkeye a lot of luck. I’m sure Daredevil and Moon Knight are gonna be great against those guys.”

Meet the Egyptian Kang, Moon Knight

Rama-Tut starting exposing his face in meaningful ways would be very logical. He seems to be one of the most significant Kang Variants based on his appearance in Quantumania.

The Disney+ series from the previous year didn’t feature Rama-face, Tut’s but a fleeting glimpse of some graffiti there seemed to make a reference to him. It is a little disappointing that the ruler wasn’t even mentioned once, given the several Egyptian-based places and the countless morsels of related facts being thrown out left and right.

The main concern surrounding a potential Moon Knight Season 2 is simply where Marvel Studios will be able to squeeze it into their incredibly full schedule, especially if they are cutting back on Disney+.

Yet if Moon Knight were to use Rama-Tut, it would be a creative and natural method to join the larger Multiverse Saga, which will eventually happen.

Disney+ is currently streaming Moon Knight.
