Jeremy Renner, a stalwart of the MCU, communicated with fans on social media for the first time since his horrific injuries that required hospitalisation.
An unfortunate snow ploughing incident involving Renner and a Snowcat rolling over the Marvel star’s leg resulted in the actor being hospitalised early in the new year.
Since that first story, further information about the incident has come to light, revealing that the 51-year-old was assisting to free a stalled automobile that was “stranded in the snow” close to his home when the incident took place.

Renner posted a snapshot from his hospital bed on Instagram with the remark “[sending] love” to people who have sent him good wishes:
“Thank you all for your kind words.Im too messed up now to type.But I send love to you all.”
After a Snowcat snow plough ran over on the actor’s leg on Monday, January 2, he required emergency surgery. This is only the start of what is being described as the Avengers star’s “very long road to recovery.”
At a news conference on Tuesday, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department provided details on the collision, saying Renner was assisting in freeing a personal car that had been trapped in the snow “close to his home:”
“Based on our investigation,Mr.Renner`s personal vehicle,which was being driven by a family member,which had become stuck in the snow near his home.Mr.Renner went to retrieve his PistenBully-or Snowcat-an extremely large piece of snow removal equipment,weighing at least 14330 pounds,in an effort to get his vehicle moving.”

According to the Sheriff’s Department, they “do not suspect any foul play” at this time and described the incident as “a terrible accident”:
“We do not believe there has been any wrongdoing, but this inquiry is still ongoing. We have no suspicion of any wrongdoing, I’ll say it again. This was a horrible accident, in our opinion.”
