by Jennifer Holland, the wife of James Gunn, will soon make her formal screen debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Even before the production of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2015, Gunn and Holland began dating. However, the two didn’t get legally married until September 2022.
The director has since made efforts to include her into his realm. In DC Studios‘ The Suicide Squad, she played ARGUS agent Emilia Harcourt. The character then went on to play a significant part in Peacemaker and made cameos in Black Adam and Shazam! The Gods’ fury.
Holland had modest appearances on episodes including Rush Hour, The Glades, and American Horror Story in addition to her work with Gunn.
Holland’s entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe has now been officially confirmed.
Jennifer Holland Debuts in the MCU
It’s been made known that Jennifer Holland, the wife of James Gunn, will be making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the upcoming film thanks to the press release for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Holland will play Administrator Kwol, a character who only makes a fleeting cameo at a set piece the Guardians visit early in the film.
It’s probably wise to hold off on getting too excited about Holland’s upcoming MCU appearances.
A sequel to Administrator Kwol’s brief appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 doesn’t seem likely.
Holland is likely set for a while, at least in terms of her role in the DC Universe.
Although Holland’s return in James Gunn’s major DC Universe reboot hasn’t been officially confirmed, it seems inevitable. The most recent announcement of Steve Agee’s return as John Economos ties Emilia Harcourt’s character to him.
It would be a safe guess to suppose that Harcourt will eventually appear in the Creature Commandos in animated form, followed by Waller in live action and, eventually, Peacemaker Season 2 in live action.
This week, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opens in theatres all over the world.
