Kang the Conqueror‘s participation in the post-credits scene of the threequel was highlighted in new concept art from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the first MCU movie of 2023.
In the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man 3, Jonathan Majors’ Kang demonstrated how far-reaching his influence is throughout the Multiverse, bringing the Council of Kangs directly from the pages of Marvel Comics into the MCU.
This brought a huge number of new Kang Variants to the fore after the “warrior” Variant, who assumed the focus in early 2023, and who had already emerged in 2021’s Loki as a quite different figure from He Who Remains.

Even the scars across Kang’s eyes are the same as in the more human interpretations of the character, albeit they glow a bright yellow colour against the lizard variant’s blue skin.
Additionally, Shulver displayed concepts for this Variant that were created earlier in the process, replete with ridging that was hidden in the film by the character’s purple helmet and neon blue mask.
