Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, highlighted Kang

Ant-Man 3 Jonathan Majors Kang

Kang the Conquerors participation in the post-credits scene of the threequel was highlighted in new concept art from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the first MCU movie of 2023.

In the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man 3, Jonathan Majors’ Kang demonstrated how far-reaching his influence is throughout the Multiverse, bringing the Council of Kangs directly from the pages of Marvel Comics into the MCU.

This brought a huge number of new Kang Variants to the fore after the “warrior” Variant, who assumed the focus in early 2023, and who had already emerged in 2021’s Loki as a quite different figure from He Who Remains.

Kang Is Displayed in the Ant-Man 3 Concept Art

The lizard Variant of Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror, who appeared as a member of the Council of Kangs in the mid-credits sequence from Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, is featured in fresh concept art photos, according to concept designer Colin Shulver.

This version of Kang came out extremely horrifying with his blue, scaly skin and his reptile-style eyes, and he even had lizard-like slits for nostrils like Voldemort from the Harry Potter films.

Even the scars across Kang’s eyes are the same as in the more human interpretations of the character, albeit they glow a bright yellow colour against the lizard variant’s blue skin.

Additionally, Shulver displayed concepts for this Variant that were created earlier in the process, replete with ridging that was hidden in the film by the character’s purple helmet and neon blue mask.

Will Kang the Conqueror star Jonathan Majors make a comeback?

Kang

Given Jonathan Majors’ ongoing legal issues around a domestic violence accusation, Marvel Studios is presently forced to make some challenging choices about the Kang front.

If things go south with Majors, the studio has allegedly contemplated internally recasting the part. This is especially true given that Majors’ antagonist is anticipated to be the ultimate bad guy in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.

For the time being, Majors is confirmed to be a member of Loki Season 2‘s cast when the show premieres later this year. This is directly related to his other post-credits scene, which introduced Victor Timely to the MCU fanbase.

But before a choice is made regarding Kang’s position in the Marvel Studios storyline, all eyes will be on Majors given how much Kang-inclusive content is expected to advance the MCU story over the course of the next few years.

FAQ

  1. Does Ant-Man Quantumania have a post credit scene?

The two post-credit scenes in Ant-Man: Quantumania are described…
Naturally, as is the case with the majority of MCU films, the film’s two credits scenes contain some of the most significant future revelations. The first scene occurs in the middle of the credits, while the final scene must be seen at the very end.

  1. Who are the 3 main Kangs?

Three separate Kangs appear to be in charge of the Council of Kangs in Quantumania: Rama-Tut (the Egyptian Pharaoh), Immortus (the older, bearded Kang), and the Scarlet Centurion.

  1. Is Kang stronger than Hulk?

He was strong enough to easily best both Thor and the Hulk without even using the Infinity Stones, while Kang was soundly defeated by Ant-Man and the Wasp. Needless to say, there’s quite a gap in strength between these two villains. But as previously mentioned, Kang isn’t just one single being.

  1. Is Kang bigger than Thanos?

Kang is a human, so he isn’t naturally more powerful than Thanos, but his presence throughout the multiverse makes him a far stronger opponent than the MCU Thanos who snapped away half of all life in Infinity War.
