Reviews for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Strong Reactions from the Public

Ahead of its impending release, James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has already been seen by some reporters, who have since shared their impressions and reviews with the public.

Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3

James Gunn last led audiences on an adventure with everyone’s favourite cosmic misfits more than five years ago. Not only is he back, but this is also the final tale he will write with the heroes he initially introduced in 2014.

According to the trailers, the story will be depressing, dramatic, and hopefully gratifying. However, many fans are concerned that Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Raccoon will not survive the conclusion.

And now that the movie has just had its premiere, some fervent responses are starting to circulate on social media.

First Reactions to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3

A few critics recently saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 during its European premiere at Disneyland Paris, and their insightful reviews are already making their way online.

The movie, according to Ian Sandwell of Digital Spy, is “a brilliant end to a brilliant trilogy:”

“‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ is a brilliant end to a brilliant trilogy. It’s very funny, emotional and everybody gets their stand-out moment. Will Poulter’s Warlock is a terrific addition, yet the focus is rightly on telling a satisfying end for the Guardians. Gonna miss them.”

Nothing can prepare you for all the emotions,” Alexander Kardelo of Movie Zine cautioned, citing Rocket Racoon’s “beautiful and heart-wrenching origin story:”

“‘[Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’] is, more than ever, Star Wars as a stoner comedy. Lovable weirdos, big Marvel action and goofy jokes. But nothing can prepare you for all the emotions. Rocket Raccoon’s origin story is beautiful and heart-wrenching.”

According to a response from German journalist Markus Trutt, the film was “the saddest & darkest MCU film:”

“[‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’] is probably the saddest & darkest MCU film & a wonderfully rounded conclusion to Gunn’s trilogy, where everyone in the fight against a mean (but rather shallow) villain gets their big moment again. Have tissues ready!”

Another translated tweet from Jesús Agudo teased a “darker” narrative with “touches of terror:

“I went with a preconceived idea to [‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’] and James Gunn has managed to surprise me for good. It is darker and has even touches of terror, but it is still very funny and with a lot of personality. Rocket and Nebula excel in a very dignified send-off.”

The best Marvel movie since Endgame,” wrote Valentina Morillo of El Espaol in a Spanish tweet.

” [‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’] has spectacular action set pieces, is fun, entertaining and emotional. It is a perfect and beautiful closure for its characters and the saga. And it’s the best Marvel movie since Endgame (and Top3 in general).”

He said he would “very happily watch an Adam Warlock solo movie:”

“Can confirm that I shed a tear during [‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’]. And that I would very happily watch an Adam Warlock solo movie. Full review (and interviews with the cast) coming very soon.”

@FourmiThere  “was a LOT to process:” according to Lily, who described the narrative as “very complex.”

“This movie… my heart is full and broken at the same time, it was a LOT to process, a very complex story but it left me feeling awesome “

Will The Landing by James Gunn Stick?

Marvel Studios’ recent streak of subpar films has infuriated many fans, and the studio’s most recent film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, became the second MCU film to receive the Rotten Tomatoes label.

These responses suggest that fans may have finally witnessed a significant triumph for Marvel Studios. After all, it would have been a severe setback if the third and concluding installment in Gunn’s trilogy had been a colossal failure.

If Vol. 3 is as fantastic as these reviews suggest, it wouldn’t be that shocking. It’s James Gunn’s first film and his final Marvel undertaking before permanently plunging into the DCU.

Fans can now watch two new snippets online in order to prepare ready for the movie’s official release.

One comically summarises the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, while the other shows viewers a fleetingly touching exchange between Star-Lord and Gamora.

On Friday, May 5, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opens in theatres.
