Before making her MCU debut, Emilia Clarke calls Marvel “absolutely brilliant.”

Early in 2023, actress Emilia Clarke will make her Marvel debut, eschewing Westeros in favour of Earth-616. The actress had only positive things to say thus far about her experience working with the comic book brand.

Only the Secret Invasion teaser, which has an all-star ensemble including Olivia Colman, gave fans a look of Clarke. The Solo actress battles Abigail Brand, a mutant, in the programme.

The character of Clarke warns Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury in the teaser that “this is just the beginning.” According to earlier rumours, Clarke’s character would take centre stage in the Disney+ series.

Clarke’s participation in the cast for 2021 has been confirmed. A fresh interview conducted two years later revealed that the actress had a great time working on this “darker” MCU production that was full of mystery and intrigue.

Emilia Clarke discussed how much she has enjoyed working with the MCU on the upcoming Disney+ film Secret Invasion in a recent interview with IndieWire.

Having a “wicked time on Marvel,” Clarke said, adding that the company was “absolutely brilliant” to deal with:

“I’m genuinely having a wicked time on Marvel, though, they’re absolutely brilliant.”

For those who were expecting for the actress to return to Star Wars soon, this remark could be disappointing.

The actress was questioned about playing Qi’ra again and whether her interest in Marvel was related to her Star Wars part, which she originated in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Fans of Star Wars have come to love Clarke’s portrayal of Han Solo in this Han Solo anthology movie.

Clarke stated that it “[it] would be lovely” to return the character but denied that any more live-action projects incorporating it were in the works, according to the interviewer.

The actress also made it plain that she can enjoy herself just as much on a big-budget blockbuster as she can on a smaller-budget independent film.

Clarke has previously lauded Marvel Studios for being so “brilliant” in his compliments.”everyone has only the highest praise to offer“, the actress said.

“Everyone I know and everyone I’ve spoken to who is a part of the Marvel universe — and actors talk! Everyone has only the highest praise to offer.”

The Daenerys actress even said that the reason Marvel is able to keep its actors around for so long is “because they’re having loads of fun.”

There’s no disputing that Clarke has had a great time working on Secret Invasion, but the project’s star-studded ensemble has also contributed to her satisfaction.

The Solo actress published a debut message in September of last year, saying that it was difficult for her to “get words out without dissolving into a fangurl:

I also can’t believe I managed to get words out without dissolving into a fangurl. But here we are, and I really think you’re gonna like it.. I sure do

In fact, Clarke expressed shock that “Marvel let [her] into their world,” and it is obvious that not only is she a tremendous admirer of the tale that the project is portraying but that she is also very eager to work with such well-known Hollywood celebrities:

“Jeeeze Louise, Marvel let me into their world…Their world that includes SAMUEL L FREAKING JACKSON! OLIVIA COLEMAN! BEN MENDELSOHN! Can’t believe they let me and my star struckness near this much talent.

Has Clarke Permanently Left the Galaxy Far, Far Away?

Although Emilia Clarke’s remarks are encouraging for Secret Invasion, they will dissapoint fans who were wanting to see her return to Star Wars as soon as possible.

Qi’ra has appeared in several comic book arcs published by Lucasfilm, but the character hasn’t seen on television in a while, leaving fans in the dark.

With “pages about what her life was and what it would be afterwards,” Clarke last year even went as far as to show her eagerness and enthusiasm for taking on the role again.

Despite Clarke’s readiness to send in her pages containing details on Qi’ra, Disney has sadly not contacted her regarding plans to continue the Solo film series on screen.

Furthermore, the likelihood of seeing Clarke’s Star Wars character again appears to be dwindling everyday considering that Disney has already revealed the “endgame.

Her comments imply a shift. Although it seems improbable that Clarke could have lost interest in her Solo character so quickly, it is clear that she has moved on to greener pastures.

Samuel L. Jackson also lauded the star’s work in the new programme, and Clarke is loving her time in the MCU.

Ideally, Clarke’s Marvel career would start with Secret Invasion rather than another brief but enjoyable stint as she experienced in the galaxy far, far away.

Disney+ will debut Secret Invasion in the spring of 2023.
