One of the deleted sequences from Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s extended version has been made available online in honour of the movie’s debut on Netflix.
When Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theatres in 2021, it was met with a great deal of praise. Due to its popularity, Sony Pictures decided to produce an expanded cut of the film featuring more than 10 minutes of brand-new material, called the “More Fun Things” version.
The newly added sequences offered fresh perspectives on the threequel’s super-villains, a longer exchange between the Peter Parkers played by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, and more time with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, nicknamed Daredevil.
Matt Murdock’s Deleted Scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home is Made Available on Netflix
A sequence from Spider-Man: No Way Home’s extended edit was made available on YouTube via Netflix India.
The opening scene saw Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and the Multiversal bad guys taking an awkward elevator ride:
After witnessing the Spider-Man bad guys enter his apartment, the lawyer tells his client to “stop sweating,” which triggers a new scenario starring Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan and Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock:
Would Matt Murdock Assist Spider-Man If He Comes Back?
Although this sequence was cut from Spider-Man: No Way Home because it would have given Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock more screen time, it’s still feasible that Daredevil from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will show up again to help Tom Holland‘s eponymous webslinger.
Given that Murdock is defending Happy Hogan in the cases brought by Stark Industries, the preceding sequence positions him for a larger role. The flamboyant lawyer might make a cameo in Armor Wars.
Yet, his street-level upbringing is also good news for Spider-Man, particularly now that a new beginning awaits Peter Parker following the conclusion of No Way Home.
Daredevil might show up in Holland’s return to the big screen because it was suggested that Spider-Man 4 might examine the effects of Daredevil: Born Again’s conclusion on Disney+.
Fans would be happy to see a true live-action Spider-Man and Daredevil team-up.
In select regions worldwide, the longer edit of Spider-Man: No Way Home is accessible on Netflix.
