The Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman may have disclosed the real name of Deadpool 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Back in September 2022, Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, casually revealed that Hugh Jackman will be returning as Wolverine for Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3—one of the year’s biggest entertainment stories. But it wasn’t the end with that video.
Both stars have updated fans and promoted the 2024 movie via video and social media in the weeks and months since the internet-shattering disclosure.
Fans now believe that the Deadpool 3 announcement pattern has continued thanks to a new Hugh Jackman video.
Title for Deadpool 3 revealed?
Hugh Jackman addressed “having to spend a year with him [Reynolds] shooting Wolverine and Deadpool” in a video he released.
He used the title “Wolverine and Deadpool” rather than “Deadpool 3,” thus it’s probable that the former is the threequel’s actual name.
Ryan Reynolds, aka Deadpool, then added the following commentary to the video:
” Also Wolverine and Deadpool’, bub?”
Reynolds’ remark not only lends credence to Jackman’s possible title-drop, but the actor might also be hinting that the threequel’s real name is Deadpool and Wolverine, with his character being named first.
Hugh Jackman then continued the discussion about the proposed title by responding:
“It’s catchy, right?”
Wolverine and Deadpool’s Tease: Is It Real?
The title might be Deadpool and Wolverine or Wolverine and Deadpool, and it appears that this subliminal statement was deliberate.
Ryan Reynolds has a reputation for promoting his own works, such as Deadpool and Deadpool 2.
While Deadpool 3 is produced by Marvel Studios this time around, Reynolds seems to be given free rein by the company, as shown by the manner in which he initially revealed Jackman’s part.
Given that Jackman was upset that a song from Ryan Reynolds’ Spirited movie received an Oscar nomination, this latest video from him seems to fit in with the duo’s funny run of releases thus far.
All indications suggest that this “slip-up” was intentional, so it wouldn’t be unexpected if Marvel Studios soon officially confirms Wolverine and Deadpool or Deadpool and Deadpool.
