The Marvels, which will include Brie Larson‘s comeback as Captain Marvel, will be one of many movies in the MCU that Marvel Studios has planned for 2023. Recent information has shown a connection between one of its writers and Robot Chicken.
The next MCU sequel, which is being directed by Nia DaCosta, will also mark the big-screen debuts of Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel, who will accompany Carol Danvers on a cosmic quest. As noted in the official summary of The Marvels, the trio’s “powers become entangled” with one another just in time to “save the universe.”
The MCU actress teased that the film will examine Carol’s “new phase,” which would hopefully put to rest the naysayers of the first film. Larson has been in the forefront of hyping up The Marvels in recent months.
Another motivation to increase excitement for The Marvels before its debut the next year was disclosed.
Robot Chicken Writer Credited as Captain Marvel 2’s Scribe
The four authors of the sequel’s script have been identified by Marvel Studios through the official press release for The Marvels: Megan McDonnell of WandaVision, Nia DaCosta, Elissa Karasik of Loki, and Zeb Wells of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Being an Emmy and Annie Award-winning writer and director for the TV series Robot Chicken, including the Emmy-nominated Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II, Wells is a remarkable addition to the list.
Wells created multiple works for Marvel Comics, including Heroes For Hire, Avengers, and other Spider-Man issues, in addition to his success with Robot Chicken.
How Captain Marvel 2 Will Outperform the Original
Zeb Wells’ inclusion on The Marvels’ esteemed roster of authors proves that the sequel to Captain Marvel will be funnier than the original film. Even while the Brie Larson-starring solo superhero movie still has some comic aspects, most people would say that they didn’t particularly stand out.
Given that Robot Chicken is most renowned for its humorous skits, Wells’ involvement in The Marvels may be a sign that the primary characters in the sequel may engage in some outrageous activities.
Wells shown his ability to be funny when he joined the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law writing staff, and The Marvels will further highlight this talent.
Carol Danvers’ humorous side was occasionally hinted at in the Infinity Saga, but it wasn’t really explored. The Cosmic Avenger’s upcoming team-up with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will give fans a chance to observe her from a fresh perspective if The Marvels can resolve this problem.
