Fans are still incredibly enthusiastic about Captain Marvel 2 despite its November release date being moved ahead from its original July release date.
The Marvels, which came out in November, apparently underwent screenings for test audiences, and the comments received from MCU fans proved to be rather interesting.
Yet, the movie has been discussed quite a bit recently. According to recent claims made by Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider, the movie was a bit of a mess both on-screen and off. Such charges have been denied by other knowledgeable parties. And now information from a few film test screenings has come to light.
Captain Marvel 2 receives favorable test screening responses
After Jeff Sneider’s comments that The Marvels was “chaos” and a “sh*tshow” earlier in the week, Scooper KC Walsh has defended the film.
In response, KC Walsh tweeted that he had not heard any complaints regarding the making of the final 2023 MCU film:
“Again I’ve heard nothing negative around this production, the movie has gotten more positive praise from test than other MCU films this year, sexist YouTubers use Larson as a way to garner favor with sexist and racists…”
Walsh just said, “No,” when questioned if he meant to imply that he had heard the Captain Marvel 2 sequel was superior to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Also, he responded to a Tweet that suggested actress Brie Larson had unfavorable set behavior:
“Not even sure where that came from or why, everything I’ve heard about ‘The Marvels’ has been very positive and glowing, including producing”
Can We Believe Marvel’s Test Screenings?
The fact that test screenings are frequently conducted very early on is one of the testing’s challenging aspects. Fans have also seen that audiences’ reactions to these screenings don’t always reflect how much they like the ultimate product.
As an illustration, information about the test screenings of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania circulated last year, and it appeared that those in attendance had a favorable reaction. This is in contrast to the film’s poor Rotten Tomatoes rating, and a picture starts to emerge.
Movies may be anything, though. The Marvels may have positive initial reviews, or its reception may wind up being similar to that of Quantumania. Also, since everyone has a distinct viewpoint, it is just impossible to win over everyone. Although a sizable portion of moviegoers abhorred Ant-Man 3, many others felt it was a blast.
In any case, starting on November 10, The Marvel Photon explodes into theatres.
