After making its cinematic premiere in November 2021, Black Panther 2 received a number of prestigious awards. Six pre-Oscar nominations for the 2022 sequel were given to it, while Angela Bassett won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Queen Ramonda.

In addition to winning all these accolades, Black Panther 2 made history by being the first MCU movie to have a podcast dedicated to it. Thanks to a recent Disney+ release, the sequel has now experienced yet another historic milestone.

Disney+ Highlights the Historic Music from Black Panther 2

Interviews with award-winning composer Ludwig Göransson and director of Black Panther 2 Ryan Coogler will highlight the arduous process of writing music for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in the upcoming MCU documentary.

The original series also acts as a suitable celebration of the many cultures around the world, as seen by Göransson’s comment about gathering sound from all over the world.

Given that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has referred to the sequel as “the most important movie [they’ve] ever made,” it is not unexpected that Black Panther 2 is the first MCU film to earn its own documentary series.

There is still space for other special specialised initiatives for Wakanda Forever, such as its own book that details the emotional process through which the cast and crew moved on following Chadwick Boseman‘s death.

Before it premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday, February 1, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is still showing in cinemas all around the world.
