The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will square off in Super Bowl LVII, the biggest American sporting event of the year. But most people are aware that the Super Bowl has a significant impact on the entertainment industry and has a far wider audience than just the NFL championship game.

The storied halftime show is back, this time featuring a performance by Rihanna, in addition to the teasers, TV advertisements, and commercials that many people watch. The Barbadian singer’s performance follows her Oscar nomination for “Lift Me Up,” one of the two songs she wrote for Black Panther 2.

The pop icon explained that even though she contributed two songs to the MCU film, the second of which was “Born Again,” she only agreed to work with Marvel Studios after seeing the first teaser for Wakanda Forever, which contained the song “No Woman No Cry.”

At the Super Bowl, Rihanna’s song “Life Me Up” might make history.
