WandaVision character Billy Maximoff is recast by Marvel for a new Disney+ programme.

A recent listing suggests that Marvel Studios has recast Billy Maximoff‘s part in a significant future Disney+ series.

As soon as Joe Locke was cast in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, people assumed he would play Billy, also known as Wanda Maximoff‘s child. He was after all referred to as “a gay teen with a dark sense of humour.”

The character was created by Jullian Hilliard, who previously made fun of those who predicted he would be replaced with an older character in WandaVision.

The entry of Billy into the MCU now has additional backing from someone’s employment listing, and it won’t be with Hilliard.

A new listing on Actors Access from Jamie Sears hints that Billy Maximoff has been replaced, as Twitter user Scarlet Witch Updates noted.

In 2021, Julliard Hillard brought a young Billy to life in WandaVision.

He is identified as the “Teen/Billy (Joe Locke)” photo double and stand-in on Sears’ résumé.

The actor who previously joined the programme is Joe Locke, and many viewers thought he was actually playing Billy.

Sears’ involvement in Agatha has been dropped since the postings were found. Marvel has not responded to the situation.

What Does Billy’s Future Hold?

It’s difficult to envision Marvel Studios wishing for this information to be published. By the end of the day, I hope this poor person doesn’t lose their job.

The recasting of Julian Hilliard isn’t all that surprising considering prior information that the general public is aware of.

Fans had always thought that, as in the comics, when Billy or Tommy (or both) reappeared, they would be in their more mature appearances. While viewers are now aware of Billy, Tommy’s inclusion is still a mystery.

While Jett Klyne previously portrayed the speedster in WandaVision, Tommy would almost certainly lose his role if Hilliard were to be replaced.

However, what part will Billy play in Agatha’s tale and how will it all relate to Wanda Maximoff, who was purportedly no longer alive when audiences last saw her, are still unknown.

Whatever it is, maybe it will lead viewers to see the Young Avengers.

Disney+ is currently planning to release Agatha: Coven of Chaos sometime in 2024.
