The main Ant-Family ensemble members all return for Quantumania, but this new threequel also introduces several hugely significant MCU characters alongside them, including Kang the Conquerer, the ultimate bad guy of the entire Multiverse Saga, played by Jonathan Majors.

Paul Rudd – Scott Lang
Before reconciling with his daughter Cassie, Scott Lang begins his third solo film On the Road promoting his autobiography, “Look Out For the Little Guy.” Paul Rudd‘s hero, who finds himself confined in the Quantum Realm, must strike a deal with Kang the Conqueror, the film’s main adversary, in which he promises to mend Kang’s Time Chair in exchange for the villain’s release of Cassie.
In the end, Scott engages Kang in a vicious physical struggle in which he displays his superhero prowess before ultimately triumphing and finding a method to mainly exit the Quantum Realm intact. However, as he reflects on his adventure through the Quantum Realm and considers what is ahead of him, there is a sense of impending danger as he enjoys his daughter’s birthday in the last moments.
Evangeline Lilly – Hope Van Dyne
Hope Van Dyne, played by Evangeline Lilly, begins the film working diligently on her brand-new business, which is now called after her, as she continues her father’s legacy and develops her relationship with Scott. Together with Cassie, she is also developing new quantum technology that will enable the Pym family to learn more than ever before about the Quantum Realm.
She must defend Hank and Janet as they learn more about her mother’s background while she is trapped in the subatomic world as she and her family are swept into the Quantum Realm alongside Scott, Cassie, and her parents. However, as the movie draws to a close, she aids Scott in completing their task while also beating Kang, and then they are both reunited joyfully in the real world.
Surprisingly, Evangeline Lily doesn’t spend a lot of time on-screen in Quantumania, and author Jeff Loveness has shared some information on extra Wasp scenes that were removed from the film.
Kathryn Newton – Cassie Lang
After a few years of primarily maintaining a distance from her father, Cassie Lang, played by Kathryn Newton, enters the scene when she is detained after using her Ant-Man suit, requiring Scott and Hope to post a bail bond. She enters the Quantum Realm with her father as she attempts to mend her connection with him and learns how to use her suit before Kang kidnaps her.
After helping MODOK alter his mind, Cassie experiences her heroic moment and directs her first superhero film before turning 18 years old.
Michelle Pfeiffer – Janet Van Dyne
The revelation that Janet Van Dyne had an intimate relationship with Kang the Conqueror when they were both trapped in the Quantum Realm gives her a more significant part in this film than ever before. After keeping her knowledge to herself for the majority of the narrative, Michelle Pfieffer‘s legacy heroine tells her family what she knows and implores Scott to be wary of Kang after learning of his true purpose.
Michael Douglas – Hank Pym
Since Hank Pym’s last appearance, he has collaborated with his family, Cassie, and Hope on new Quantum technology while handing over control of his Pym tech company to Hope. Additionally, he deals with the reality that Janet and Kang became so close while they were stranded together in the Quantum Realm for the majority of the film.
Jonathan Majors – Kang the Conqueror and Variants
Jonathan Majors took the front stage in Ant-Man 3 as the film’s main antagonist, who eventually referred to himself as Kang the Conqueror, after being introduced as He Who Remains in Loki. He confided in Janet Van Dyne for company and assistance when he was initially trapped in the Quantum Realm, and the two of them worked together to mend his Time Chair until he revealed his true wicked plans of occupying every world he could.
Kang terrorized Team Ant-Man and displayed the full extent of his abilities before being finally vanquished by Scott after the Multiversal traveler was imprisoned in the engine of his spacecraft, but it only really removed that one Variant.
Immortus, Rama-Tut, and Scarlet Centurion appeared in the Council of Kang post-credits scenes. In the second end-credits scene, Victor Timely received the attention he deserved.
Jonathan Majors was detained for assault in New York City a month after Ant-Man 3’s debut. The actor, according to Jonathan Majors and his criminal defense, is “completely innocent” of the assault allegations.
Majors’ future in the MCU is still unknown, but recent rumors have suggested the kind of actor Marvel Studios may be considering to replace Majors.
Corey Stoll – MODOK
According to rumors that have been circulating for the past two years, Corey Stoll returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as MODOK, who underwent a dramatic transformation after Darren Cross was drawn into the Quantum Realm. Kang and MODOK joined forces to cause mayhem in the Quantum Realm when the MCU managed to unite these two important characters into a single creature.
After having a heart-to-heart with Cassie Lang during the climactic battle, MODOK joined Team Ant-Man and gave his life as the film’s main enemy to eliminate the giant-headed traitor. After two thrilling MCU appearances, Darren Cross’ tale was finally resolved in this scene, providing him the moment of vindication he had been searching for since losing to Scott and his family in 2015.
The MCU fandom has been extremely divided on MODOK’s look in Ant-Man 3. Marvel designers have made numerous official concept art photos of discarded designs they contemplated for MODOK public since the film’s debut.
Dave Dastmalchian – Veb
Dave Dastmalchian, who was previously known as the ex-con Kurt in the first two Ant-Man films, portrayed the eccentric and crazy Veb, a resident of the Quantum Realm.
Veb, a somewhat amorphous pink blob, had several amusing humorous moments as he met Scott Lang and the other Earthlings, getting to know them while giving his all to the battle against Kang. Even though he made it plain to Scott and the others that he understood their anatomy, some of his best scenes occurred as he was realising that he didn’t have any “holes” in his body.

William Jackson Harper – Quaz
When Quaz first met Team Ant-Man, he was unable to block his mind from reading the minds of people around him, making him the MCU’s most accomplished psychic character to date.
As he had to telepathically answer Scott’s questions while he was in shock from being drawn into the Quantum Realm, this proved more than frustrating for him.
Katy O’Brian – Jentorra
As Cassie and Jentorra struggled to find out their respective objectives with one another, Jentorra became the de facto commander of the freedom fighters in the Quantum Realm.
Against Kang and his army, she demonstrated her superior fighting skills, even assisting Cassie in escaping captivity while assisting the Earthling in obtaining her father’s return and putting an end to Kang.
Bill Murray – Krylar
Bill Murray plays Krylar, an elite resident of the Quantum Realm with a lengthy history with Janet, in his first and only MCU appearance.
Sadly, during Murray’s brief appearance on screen, he turned on Janet and her family by informing Kang of her return to the Quantum Realm and preparing her to be brought in. Even though he was just in a few scenes within the short film’s runtime, the comedic actor established himself as one of Janet’s most important allies.
Randall Park – Jimmy Woo
Randall Park made a brief but lovely comeback in the first few seconds of Quantumania after appearing in both Ant-Man and the Wasp and WandaVision.
Jimmy Woo, who plays Park, barely appeared briefly on screen before sitting down for the lunch date that they had planned at the end of their previous appearance together. The FBI agent was left behind in the surface world because most of the film was spent in the Quantum Realm.
Gregg Tarkington – Dale
Gregg Tarkington returned the odd Baskin Robbins manager in Ant-Man 3 for a humorous cameo following a brief appearance in Ant-Man.
In the opening scene, Dale presented Scott Lang with an “Employee of the Century” plaque in recognition of Ant-Man’s contributions to the Avengers’ efforts to save the planet. The two cracked jokes about Scott being his worker, evoking some of the same laughter that surfaced when Dale first fired Scott in Ant-Man.
Tom Scharpling – N’Brij
Tom Scharpling finally made his long-awaited cameo as one of the Quantum Realm’s freedom warriors, N’Brij, in a deleted scene after being omitted from both the original Ant-Man movie and Ant-Man and the Wasp. The director of Quantumania, Peyton Reed, and the voice actor/writer have a history of friendship. It was Reed who secured Scharpling’s inclusion in this threequel for his MCU moment of glory.

Tom Hiddleston – Loki
Tom Hiddleston made a triumphant return as Loki in the second post-credits sequence of Ant-Man 3 after spending nearly four years away from the big screen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The God of Mischief recognizes the man with the same visage as He Who Remains while witnessing a presentation by Victor Timely, one of Kang’s many Variants, from the audience.
Loki begins to realize how strong and influential Kang is as he wears a terrified expression on his face. As Loki seeks to repair the harm he and Sylvie caused by killing He Who Remains, this scene will serve as a clear setup for Loki Season 2, which has already been revealed to include a lot more Kang moments.
Owen Wilson – Mobius
Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, who makes his debut appearance in an MCU film in this sequence, appeared alongside Loki in the same post-credits scene.
The Time Variance Authority Agent observes this period of history while watching Victor Timely’s show from the audience next to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki as he tries to identify the performer on stage. He’s more perplexed than anything because this is his first encounter with any Kang Variant and he’s turning to Loki for clarification on what they might face in Loki Season 2.
On April 18, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will begin showing in theatres all across the world and on digital devices.
Who are the persons that Quantumania ends up with?
The Council of Kangs is effectively revealed in the end-credits sequence in Quantumania, which also introduces Immortus, Rama-Tut, and Scarlet Centurion—even though the term is never mentioned.
