A new deleted scene from Black Panther 2 reveals an alternative ending.

The conclusion of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and the relationship between two key characters were altered by one of the movie’s deleted sequences.

Black Panther 2 ending Shuri Okoye

Before Black Panther 2 debuts on Disney+, fans of Marvel have already seen other deleted scenes.

The first stated that Okoye, played by Danai Guirira, was given the chance to contend with Shuri for the crown.

It’s interesting to note that this recently revealed sequence also includes the former General of the Dora Milaje, offers an alternative interpretation of the story, and teases the character’s potential involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Shuri and Okoye‘s romance receives a different resolution in one of the recently made public deleted scenes from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as reported by USA Today.

The scenario, titled “Anytime, Anywhere,” starts with Shuri travelling to Haiti and running into Okoye.

During their conversation, Okoye states that she is “here to say goodbye.”

Okoye says, “Wherever my new space suit takes me,” in reference to the Midnight Angel suit she receives in the movie, in response to Shuri’s question about where she will travel.

Additionally, the former general admits that “she’s not a Dora anymore.” Okoye then makes her a promise that “If you ever need me, anytime, anyplace,” as the two part ways.

Why This Okoye Scene Is Important to Watch

Black Panther 2 Deleted Scene Okoye

Okoye was not an exception to how the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever tested the characters in the movie.

She temporarily lost T’Challa and Shuri as well, which prompted Angela Bassett’s Queen Ramonda to publicly deprive her of her position and title.

At the movie’s conclusion, Okoye leaps back into action to aid Shuri, but her own tale seemed unfinished.

That wasn’t the case in the initial version of Black Panther 2 based on the deleted sequences, which concentrate on Okoye.

But of the two deleted sequences viewers have already seen, this one nearly seems like it was needed. In addition to giving Okoye and Shuri some closure, it also charts the future course for the former Dora.

In addition, she implied that they will work together once more by saying, “Anytime, anywhere” which makes fans curious about what lies ahead for both the franchise and these characters.

Uncertainty surrounds whether that reunion will happen in Black Panther 3 or in a different film completely, but for now, MCU fans must watch this deleted scene while the Black Panther saga advances.

On Disney+, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently streaming.
