Alongside Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock, a new character was visible in a recent on-set photo from Daredevil: Born Again.
Since this MCU reboot’s filming started, pictures from the set in New York City have given fans more details about the eagerly awaited Disney+ series, including its cast.
Along with images of Charlie Cox on set, Margarita Levieva, an actress who will likely play Murdock’s new love interest, was recently observed working behind the scenes.
Another image from the Born Again set of Marvel Studios has now unveiled another new Disney+ cast member to the public.
Sighting of a New MCU Character on the Daredevil Set
On the Daredevil: Born Again set, a new MCU character was sighted with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock.
Actress Nikki M. James, known for her stage work in The Book of Mormon and other Broadway productions, as well as her television work in Severance and Proven Innocent, portrays this new Daredevil character.
James is said to be playing Kirsten McDuffie in Daredevil: Born Again, despite the fact that Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the identity of her character.
In the comic books, Kirsten McDuffie played the role of the deputy district attorney who initially thought Matt Murdock was Daredevil.
Later, their acquaintance developed into love, and for a while, the two established their own law firm in San Francisco.
It should be noted that neither Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson nor Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page are anticipated to return in the Disney+ revival.
Ideas for a New MCU Character from Born Again
Several fans wonder if Nikki M. James, if she is portraying Kirsten McDuffie, is meant to take the place of Foggy Nelson and Karen Page.
For fans of Foggy and Karen, it’s equally likely that she isn’t at all their replacement and that Marvel Studios’ increased focus on Matt Murdock’s legal work has led to her appearance.
As production on Born Again proceeds, as well as at the anticipated Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con, fans should learn more about the cast of the movie as a whole and the degree of Nikki M. James’ involvement.
For now, it’s exciting to see that the Daredevil relaunch is introducing a fresh cast of characters in addition to bringing back well-known ones like Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.
In the spring of 2024, Disney+ is anticipated to release Daredevil: Born Again.
