The second season “begins at the same spot as the Season 1 cliffhanger,” according to Laughing Place, with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in the TVA library and a statue of time-traveling antagonist Kang in the distance.
Recall that the TVA agent “chases him through the halls” with a team of armed guards by his side since Loki’s new friend Mobius, for some reason, doesn’t know who he is. In an attempt to flee, Loki leaps from a nearby window and “lands in the bed of a yellow hover truck,” scaring the driver and nearly sending her crashing into the Kang statue.
After the truck collides with the building, “Loki tumbles out into an office where Casey also doesn’t recognize him.” The brother of Thor now observes the office floor, “which has the TVA shield and sword crest inlaid,” but it has been destroyed. He doesn’t have time to think about this before he “glitches.”
In the series, the glitching is referred to as “timeslipping.” The reason it’s happening is a mystery to the other characters, but it’s making Loki go through time without his will.
When he reemerges, Loki is “standing in the same room, with Casey staring at him quizzically.” The fact that Eugene Cordero’s character is aware of his audience this time around, however, suggests that this is the Season 1 version.
The TVA crest on the floor is “still damaged,” which must suggest that Loki was sent to the future of the instant he was just in, which perplexes the God of Mischief. “Asking Casey to get Mobius, he glitches again,” he says.
Additionally, ScreenRant noted that the truck pursuit scene is “funny,” indicating that the first season’s dry sense of humor may have survived at least in part.

The season will also deal with the hazardous Kang variant known as Victor Timely in addition to the aforementioned time slipping. The actor who portrays Kang and his numerous variations in the MCU, Jonathan Majors, is now being tried for assault, but he will nonetheless show up in about half of Loki’s six-episode second season.
Beyond that, the program will check in on Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie after she slashed He Who Remains with her sword in the first season finale, killing him and shattering the Sacred Timeline in the process.
Naturally, viewers may anticipate that Loki will also advance the stories of its other main characters, like Mobius M. Mobius, Hunter B-15, and, of course, Loki himself.
