Kraven the Hunter movie
Kraven the Hunter is a formidable antagonist in the Spider-Man comics. He is a skilled big game hunter who prides himself on tracking and capturing dangerous animals, but eventually sets his sights on Spider-Man as the ultimate prey. Kraven the Hunter movie will delve into Kraven’s backstory, exploring his motivations and his transformation into the notorious hunter.
Sony Pictures has just unveiled a brand-new poster featuring Kraven the Hunter, Aaron Taylor Johnson’s future Spider-Man antagonist.
Despite the fact that the character’s solo outing was first reported in 2018, filming was only just finished last June. The project will be the third franchise focused on villains in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, including Venom and Morbius.
The film will even be given an R rating and focus on an “unexpectedly dark world.” Kraven will be joined by the Chameleon and Rhino, two additional comic book villains, but Spider-Man will be absent.
A poster for Kraven the Hunter
The first official poster for the upcoming Kraven the Hunter film was been made available by Sony Pictures.
The billboard depicts the main antagonist of Spider-Man, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, sitting on a throne and donning a comic-accurate outfit, featuring a large patch of fur over his shoulders and a necklace with teeth.
The same artwork was also made available in a banner format.
Fans with keen eyes will see that the posture is modeled off a famous Kraven comic panel.
Sony also presented the first trailer, a hefty three-minute-long trailer, along with the poster.
Johnson can be seen wearing a more streamlined variation of Kraven’s appearance in addition to the classic clothing that was only fleetingly shown in the trailer.
Start of Kraven’s Hunt
Kraven’s origin tale has one advantage in that certain aspects of his life can be explored without necessarily involving Spider-Man. In contrast to Venom, a character who has always been inextricably linked to Peter Parker since his creation, this endeavor feels more organic and natural.
The caravan appears to be well-made, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks fantastic in his authentic hunting attire.
Even though the poster is a straight ripoff of a classic comic book image, it’s amusing to note that it also resembles the poster for Black Panther. Even Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam from the DC Universe comes to mind.
Given that the character is being kept away from Spider-Man, much like Sony did with Venom, many fans find it difficult to be enthusiastic for the movie. Kraven was always a top choice to appear in a Spider-Man movie; in fact, the third Tom Holland adventure might have included the antagonist at one point.
If Kraven the Hunter does well and turns out to be a decent film, Sony might try to get him to face up against the recognizable webhead. However, as things are, Tom Hardy’s Venom is still entirely apart from Spider-Man, and Morbius, who had a major flop, is nowhere to be seen.
The upcoming Spider-Man 2 video game from Insomniac has Kraven as its main nemesis for those who desire even more of the villain in their lives.
On October 6, Kraven the Hunter debuts in theatres.
