Stefan Kapicic, who plays the enormous metal mutant Colossus in Deadpool 3, celebrated the start of the much-anticipated third MCU installment’s production.
In Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds takes the starring role in one of the most significant MCU additions. This film will explore the Multiverse in greater detail than any other recent Marvel Studios production.
Hugh Jackman‘s startling decision to wear the Wolverine claws for the first time in the MCU and the subsequent confirmation that it would release in late 2024 have led Marvel to begin casting A-list celebrities as the actors prepare for the cameras (and heads) to start rolling.
And with Jackman being spotted sporting his trademark beard, which was last seen in 2017’s Logan, the start of production seems imminent.
Deadpool 3 Star Announces Filming Has Begun
Stefan Kapicic, who plays Colossus, revealed in a recent Instagram story that Deadpool 3 filming has begun.
Along with co-stars Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, and Brianna Hildebrand, Kapicic released a picture with the current logo for the threequel. The phrase “confirmed” was placed above the picture, indicating that filming started on May 23.
Additionally, this is consistent with remarks made by Reynolds in November 2022, in which he said that the threequel’s filming will start just before the summer of 2023.
When Will Deadpool 3 Fans Learn More?
Although the continuing writer’s strike will present some difficulties for Deadpool 3’s production, the beginning of filming is at least a promising development for the MCU’s first mutant-focused feature.
And as the threequel’s official production begins, all eyes will be on it as director Shawn Levy and others celebrate this film as the first in MCU history to receive an R-rating.
As Wade Wilson, Colossus, and his gang of X-Men transcend across dimensions and become a part of the MCU storyline for the first time, early plot clues have hinted that this will be a “fish-out-of-water” story for Reynolds.
Although no official story elements have been verified by anybody involved, rumours have even suggested that this movie will follow Wade and his squad as they travel through the Multiverse while being pursued by Owen Wilson’s Mobius.
Stefan Kapicic and his castmates will have to maintain that degree of secrecy as Deadpool’s third solo film comes to pass because Marvel is anticipated to be more cautious with secrets on this Multiverse Saga chapter.
Deadpool 3 is currently in production and is scheduled to hit theatres on November 8, 2024.
