MODOK’s MCU Debut Image Released by Marvel

MCU fans saw MODOK for the first time thanks to the second full trailer for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Ant-Man, MODOK

Following initial speculation that the character will play a role in the plot of Ant-Man 3, which was subsequently confirmed at Marvel’s presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, MODOK has become a hot subject. The Quantum Realm-focused sequel’s exclusive Comic-Con teaser gave attendees only a fleeting glimpse of this mechanical foe, but all indications are that he will play a significant part alongside Team Ant-Man and Kang the Conqueror.

The first glimpse of MODOK appeared in late November 2022, approximately a month after the release of the film’s first teaser, in the form of a Funko Pop! toy that displayed the robot’s brilliant golden body and a robotic visage that was modified from his comic book appearances.

MODOK has finally been revealed as he takes his position in the MCU’s Phase 5 story according to the most recent Ant-Man 3 teaser.

The antagonist MODOK in the Marvel Cinematic Universe made his first official appearance in the second complete trailer for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

MODOK Arrives in the MCU in Fury

Although MODOK didn’t have any spoken lines in this brief sneak peek, two fast images showed off the MCU’s interpretation of him as he prepares to unleash his reign of terror on the Marvel Universe for the first time.

Corey Stoll will return for his second MCU role after portraying Yellowjacket in 2015’s Ant-Man, according to a shot that showed the character will still have a humanoid face on the front of his body as he does in the comic. A hint of how awful he’ll be when completely released in the Quantum Realm, he later sports a frightful and furious metallic visage with malevolent glowing eyes.

Although it’s still unclear how that will work out, the trailer hinted that MODOK and Kang would be collaborating in some way, with Kang maybe turning to Ant-Man for assistance as he seeks to begin his reign of terror throughout the MCU.

It’s also uncertain if Corey Stoll’s Yellowjacket changes into MODOK in this film or whether Stoll merely plays two separate characters, but that’s just one of the many mysteries that fans may anticipate being answered as the plot develops.

Even though Kang is slated to be the main antagonist of this film and to begin his journey as the main antagonist of the Multiverse Saga, MODOK won’t be a pushover either when he engages Team Ant-Man in combat.
