Ant-Man 3 Quantumania

Ant-Man 3’s length breaks previous franchise records.

A first for the Ant-Man franchise in the MCU is the length of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

But Ant-Man 3 defies convention in other ways as well.

With Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and newcomer Kathyrn Newton playing Cassie Lang, Quantumania not only ushers in Phase 5 of the MCU but also Kang the Conqueror, the main antagonist of the Multiverse Saga.

It seems natural that the film’s length would be novel for something so unique and high risks. Now that the duration of Quantumania has been officially confirmed, fans may plan accordingly.

How long is Quantumania in Ant-Man and the Wasp?

The duration of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, according to Fandango, is 2 hours and 5 minutes, setting a new benchmark for the Ant-Man series.

The 2015 version of Ant-Man from Marvel Studios ran for 1 hour and 57 minutes, while Ant-Man and the Wasp was 1 hour and 58 minutes long.

This seems to be a pattern with MCU threequels, which tend to be lengthier than their prequels and sequels.

Iron Man 3’s duration of 2 hours and 10 minutes surpassed that of Iron Man and Iron Man 2. As seen by Captain America: Civil War‘s 2 hours and 27 minute running duration, the Captain America movies did the same.

The same holds true for Spider-Man: No Way Home, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity War, all of which were lengthier than the prior movies in their respective franchises.

Here is a list of the latest MCU movies’ runtimes from 2022 for comparison:

2 hours and 6 minutes, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Time: 1 hour, 59 minutes for Thor: Love and Thunder

Wakanda Forever: Black Panther: 2 hours, 41 minutes

Time Does Not Function the Same in the Quantum Realm

Fans have seen a lot of things on Ant-Man 3’s to-do list from the movie’s marketing thus far.

The movie will also focus on Scott’s newfound fame and his tense relationship with Cassie, as well as the Quantum Realm, which has recently gained significance in the MCU.

Although this is Ant-third Man’s chapter, it’s important to keep in mind that Kang is making his MCU debut. It goes without saying that the threequel will serve as a prequel to upcoming Disney+ shows and movies.

Peyton Reed, the director of Ant-Man, claimed he intended Quantumania to be “the big Avengers movie” rather than just another palate cleanser, and his efforts are largely responsible for this.

It seems sense that Quantumania has a longer length than its predecessors if that’s what it has in store, and perhaps viewers might ponder if its 2 hours and 5 minutes runtime is adequate.

On February 17, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits cinemas.
