The Disney+ MCU spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos will include the return of 3 WandaVision characters.
Following her tenure as WandaVision’s major antagonist in 2021, Kathryn Hahn was confirmed to reprise her role as the nosy neighbour turned powerful witch, Agatha Harkness, in her own solo series. After being imprisoned in the town of Westview in Episode 9, the series will continue her exploits, and Hahn plans to introduce an amazing cast of people into the MCU to tell that brand-new tale.
As Marvel begins production for this much anticipated Disney+ spin-off, close to a dozen actors have already been confirmed to play in the series. This contains a number of well-known new characters making their MCU debuts, such as Joe Locke from Heartstopper and Aubrey Plaza from The White Lotus.
A few significant returning WandaVision faces have also been asked back for another round of Marvel mayhem in addition to those new ones.
WandaVision Stars for Agatha Spin-Off Confirmed
After making her MCU debut in a supporting role in WandaVision, Debra Jo Rupp will return in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, according to Marvel Deadline.
After supporting actor Emma Caulfield Ford’s Dottie and main heroine Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, WandaVision character Mrs. Hart will likely be played by Rupp again in Agatha.
The Effect of WandaVision on the Agatha Solo Series
It’s hardly surprising to see how closely Coven of Chaos ties with WandaVision because it will continue where its predecessor left off with the villain. But given that actors like Debra Jo Rupp and Emma Caulfield Ford are both returning, it’s definitely unexpected to see how closely these two entries will be connected.
After making sporadic appearances in the nine episodes of the original programme, the story did not specify if the two would play their precise roles from WandaVision or how many episodes they would each be in. Although they were placed under Wanda Maximoff’s authority, they should have more opportunities to develop as characters as Coven of Chaos has the same number of episodes.
Although it’s unknown how they’ll factor into the tale when Agatha reclaims her position of authority, they’ll undoubtedly be significant elements to keep an eye out for as more information about the witch’s incredible recovery emerges.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos has begun production, but it’s not yet clear whether the series’ planned Winter 2023/2024 premiere will be postponed.
