however, audiences can now gorge themselves Guardians of the Galaxy 3 numerous spoilers.
It’s almost hard to believe it’s finally here after such a lengthy wait.
However, the major trilogy finale is currently playing in theatres all over the world, along with James Gunn‘s deeply moving and stirring tale of his favourite group of cosmic misfits.
What, however, were the main revelations and story twists that the film contained for viewers? The top eleven events and scenes that fans would view as major spoilers are listed below.
1.) The Guardians of the Galaxy 3 all survive
Spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are present in the remaining portions of this article.
To everyone’s amazement, no members of the founding team perish in James Gunn’s grand finale for Marvel Studios. The most famous fatalities in the film are those of Chukwudi Iwuji’s High Evolutionary and Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha.
Instead, for a variety of reasons—more on those spoilers later—the majority of the Guardians opt to go their separate ways.
2. The Tragic Origin of Rocket
89P13 was one of the High Evolutionary‘s best experiments when it was captured as a young raccoon. The smart raccoon, who went by the name Rocket, made a discovery that made his brain incredibly valuable—but not the complete package.
Rocket first encounters Lylla, Teefs, and Floor in his jail shortly after being elevated to sentience. Sadly, all three of them perish after Rocket tries in vain to free them after discovering that their inventor is planning to kill them.
Rocket essentially tears off the face of his creator after losing the only friends he’s ever known before running away to start his own life.
3.) Exposing the Sovereign’s Origin
In contrast to how the Sovereign people were utilised against the titular team in Vol. 2, here, their history was unexpectedly revealed.
Adam Warlock was intended to be the ideal representation of them all when their culture was discovered to have been constructed by The High Evolutionary. But that was before Warlock’s pod was prematurely ejected, which gave rise to the movie’s portrayal of him as a child.
4.) Destruction of the Counter-Earth
Halfway through the movie(Guardians of the Galaxy 3), viewers are introduced to Counter-Earth, a replica of the original Earth filled with the animal-human hybrids created by the High Evolutionary.
It’s great to see such a large set piece introduced because it may be further developed in future MCU movies in various circumstances. The villain in Chukwudi Iwuji, however, had different ideas, including starting over with a blank slate.
On-screen, the planet Counter-Earth is destroyed, wiping off millions, if not billions, of sentient lifeforms. The Guardians themselves are lucky to survive.
5.) Mantis Forges Her Own Trail
Mantis is evidently becoming frustrated with the way everyone on the crew is behaved throughout the entire film. . Here are the first indications of her unavoidable decision.
After defeating the High Evolutionary, Mantis comes to the realisation that she must forge her own path and prioritise listening to herself above other people. She even brings two Abilisk pets with her on her new galactic adventure.
6.) The Father Figure, Drax
Many people believed Drax would pass away at the end of the movie based on Dave Bautista‘s interviews with the media in recent months.
The actor officially bid farewell to the part in January of this year, saying how it was a “relief” to be finished and that the makeup meant that the process of becoming Drax “wasn’t all pleasant.”
However, Drax doesn’t appear to be moving on at the movie’s conclusion. He doesn’t belong to Rocket’s newly formed team, but he serves as a father figure for all the High Evolutionary kids who have been saved.
The arrival of Phyla-Vell appears to provide an opportunity for Marvel Studios to properly introduce Moondragon, the late daughter of Drax who isn’t actually as dead as he believes in the books. She is also Phyla-Vell’s potential love interest.
It would be a tragedy if Bautista never went back to investigate that conceivable plot with his daughter after placing the Destroyer in this special character-wise position.
7.) The illustrious Star-Lord takes a break.
At the end of it all, Peter Quill finally realises that the Gamora he lost in Avengers: Infinity War will never be the same as this new Gamora, taken straight out of 2014.
Additionally, he learns that, like Rocket, he has spent the majority of his life running. It’s time to confront reality and return to Earth, and he does just that.
In order to visit his grandfather, Gregg Henry, who is portrayed by Pete, and spend some time on the planet he had avoided for decades, Pete takes a break from the Guardians of the Galaxy and travels to Earth.
The second post-credits tag from Marvel Studios made it official that “The Legendary Star-Lord will Return.” Given that Chris Pratt’s character is now in a great position to be reintroduced into the fray when Kang the Conqueror causes havoc in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, this makes sense.
8.) Gamora’s New Family
While this Gamora variant does develop a bond with the Guardians of the Galaxy characters that fans have been familiar with for years, she also developed a close relationship with another family off-screen.
Gamora returns to the Ravagers, which also contain the members of Yondu’s former crew, rather than remaining in Knowhere with the remaining Guardians.
Oddly enough, Zoe Saldana just declared that“it is the end for [her as] Gamora.” Although she may not be finished with the MCU as strongly as implied by the film’s ending.
In fact, it puts her in a position where Marvel Studios can utilise the character whenever and anywhere it wants.
9.) Nebula Points the Way
Like everyone else, Nebula discovers a new calling in ruling the inhabitants of Knowhere and its city.
From where viewers originally encountered her in the original 2014 film, it’s a significant difference.
Nebula is now in a fantastic position within the MCU, where she can be readily included into various cosmic tales. Fans may definitely anticipate that Knowhere’s significance will continue to increase.
If the Eternals get their sequel, they might be able to deploy a weaponized Celestial head.
10.) The emergence of a NEW Guardians team
Fans were terrified that this would be the last time Bradley Cooper’s voice would be heard in an MCU film going into this one. On the contrary, Rocket Raccoon is now in charge of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Even a new team has been assembled by him. A much bigger Groot, Adam Warlock, Kraglin, Cosmo, and Phyla-Vell are on the cast.
Warlock joins forces with Rocket and his crew because of the lessons he learns during the movie and the second chance the Guardians of the Galaxy provide him.
The largest addition to the squad is Phyla-Vell, played by Kai Zen, who may end up playing a crucial cosmic role in the MCU in the future.
11.) The High Evolutionary Passes Away 11. But does he?
The Guardians of the Galaxy 3 unite to battle High Evolutionary’s allies and then the villain in Vol. 3’s grand finale. The group quickly brings the bad guy under control.
Rocket decides to spare the life of his old creator instead of killing him, sending the villain down with the ship.
While the audience witnesses the explosion of High Evolutionary’s spacecraft, the crucial moment of Iwuji’s character’s demise is not depicted on screen.
So, if Marvel Studios ever had the desire, it would be simple for its creative team to find a way to reintroduce High Evolutionary into the story.
The conclusion of one book… and the start of another?
While the film feels like a fairly satisfying conclusion to James Gunn’s trilogy, it’s odd that so many actors have hinted that they are finished playing those parts. Every single member is at a brand-new location. And it would be a tragedy if the MCU did not eventually investigate each and every one of them.
In any case, a new era has begun for Marvel’s cosmic side of the equation, and viewers may already start to notice some of these new developments in The Marvels later this year.
The MCU’s cosmic section appears to be lacking a lot of content except the anticipated Captain Marvel sequel.
Only Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Secret Wars, and a Nova project have been officially confirmed as of yet. Another assumption is that an Eternals sequel will eventually be released.
The universe appears to be going to be rather calm for a while.
In theatres now is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
